Therapist Serving Framingham, MA
Aurora Counseling Associates is a group psychotherapy practice at 20 N Main St in Natick, the town that sits directly against Framingham's eastern edge. We have served the MetroWest area since 1998. We do not keep a separate office in Framingham; Framingham residents see us in person at the Natick office next door or by secure telehealth from anywhere in Massachusetts. This page is for Framingham residents weighing either option.
How Framingham residents reach our office
We are twelve licensed clinicians with experience across the full range of outpatient mental health concerns: anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, perinatal and postpartum care, couples therapy, family work, child and adolescent therapy, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, and neurodivergence-affirming work.
The Natick office is immediately east of Framingham, which makes it one of the closer practices for much of the city. The practice keeps evening hours until 9pm Monday through Friday and offers Saturday appointments, so a weekly session can sit alongside work and the school and activity calendars that come with raising a family in MetroWest.
Telehealth for Framingham clients
Telehealth is a strong option for many Framingham clients, especially when a packed week makes even a short drive feel like one more errand. Our clinicians are licensed in Massachusetts and meet by secure video from anywhere in the state. Coverage also extends to clients in Vermont, Michigan, Florida, and Connecticut where the responsible clinician is licensed. See our online and telehealth therapy page for details.
Who we work with
Framingham is a large, mixed community, and the people who reach out to us reflect that range. The practice sees children (approximately ages 3 and up), teens, adults, couples, and families. Common reasons clients from this part of MetroWest get in touch include:
- Anxiety, depression, and the kind of high-functioning struggle that does not always look like a crisis from the outside
- Couples therapy for communication, recurring conflict, life transitions, or rebuilding after a rupture
- Family therapy for parenting conflict, blended-family dynamics, or strained teen-parent relationships
- Child and adolescent work for anxiety, school refusal, behavior, social difficulties, and neurodivergence
- Grief and bereavement
- Perinatal and postpartum mental health
- LGBTQIA+ affirming individual, couples, and family work

Insurance and rates
Self-pay is $200 to $250 per session. We accept most major Massachusetts commercial plans: BCBS, Tufts (HMO/PPO/GIC), Tufts Health Direct, Harvard Pilgrim, Point32Health, Optum, UBH, Mass General Brigham Health Plan, and Health Plans Inc. Some clinicians also accept Aetna and UHC; we confirm coverage at intake. HSA, FSA, and out-of-network superbills available. See rates and insurance.
If you are in crisis
Aurora is an outpatient practice and not a 24/7 crisis service. If you or someone you are with is in immediate danger, call 911. For mental health crisis support any time, call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline). MetroWest residents can also reach the Advocates emergency line, the regional crisis services provider.
